Hydro wins Endesa's Novare Prize for energy R+D+i projects |

Hydro has won the "Renewable energies and new energy sources" category of Novare Prizes. With these awards for the scientific community
Endesa encourages the investigative spirit in energy-related matters within the international scientific community and help meet the needs of mankind in this area.
Hydro is a Starlab proposal to study the integration of Earth observation data in hydropower plant operations with the objective of achieving
improved flow models for prediction, and contribute to and optimal energy generation, planning and management. The project will be implemented in cooperation with the Universidad Católica de Chile.

Starlab's CEO, Giulio Ruffini, is the project coordinator of Peach, a coordination action of the EC supporting Presence.
Presence is a scientific and technological field focusing on understanding and achieving control over the experience of being in or acting in a physical place. Aided by new technologies such as VR and AI, Presence research aims at empowering us to achieve realistic feelings and experiences when immersed in mixed reality environments.

Azadeh just graduated from MIT with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and will go back in the fall to work towards her Master's degree. In the mean time, she has joined Starlab through the MIT program to help students working abroad. She is interested in electrical engineering applications in neuroscience, an area Starlab excels in.
